UPSC asks every qualified candidate to register on the Indian Army recruiting website within two weeks of the result (9 October 2026). If you registered earlier on the site, you do not need to register again.

Keep your original certificates ready
Carry the originals of your age and educational qualification certificates to the SSB. Do not post them to UPSC.

The SSB interview: five days that decide the merit list
Your written marks get you to the board. The final NDA merit list adds your written score to your SSB marks, so a strong interview can lift you well above candidates who scored more on paper.
Day 1 · Screening
Officer Intelligence Rating test and the Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT). Many candidates are sent home on day one.
Day 2 · Psychology
Thematic Apperception Test, Word Association, Situation Reaction and Self-Description — written at speed, read as a whole.
Days 3–4 · GTO and interview
Group discussion, planning exercise, progressive and half group tasks, command task, lecturette and the personal interview.
Day 5 · Conference
All three assessors meet you together and decide. Recommended candidates go on to the medical examination.

When will the NDA 2 2026 cut-off marks be released?
UPSC will upload the marks and cut-off marks only after the final result (after the SSB interviews and medicals). They stay on upsc.gov.in for thirty days.
Should I send my original certificates to UPSC?
No. Carry the originals of your age and educational qualification certificates to the SSB interview. UPSC asks candidates not to send originals to the Commission.
